About

Shenango is stepping up to bat!

Penn State Shenango is launching a softball program in 2025! With community and alumni support, we’re excited to make this vision a reality.

Our campus is dedicated to nurturing the whole student, offering an exceptional education, dynamic campus life, modern facilities, and robust support for alumni as they embark on meaningful careers. Adding a softball team will enhance this commitment and attract new students and their families to the Shenango Valley.

Athletics at Shenango

Athletics returned to Penn State Shenango in 2018 with men’s basketball. Since then, we've added women's volleyball (2019), women's basketball (2021), co-ed golf (2022), and baseball (2023), and cross country joined the lineup following a successful fundraising campaign during last year’s GivingTuesday event. There are currently more than ninety full-time student-athletes enrolled at Penn State Shenango.

Our teams compete in the Penn State University Athletic Conference (PSUAC) and are nationally affiliated with the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA). The Shenango Lions face off against thirteen PSUAC members and other local colleges and universities.

Run the bases with us!

Your contribution will help to cover expenses for equipment, coaching staff, facilities, travel, and meals. Every donation, large or small, is valued and greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your support in making our softball team a reality!
