Nearly 99 percent of giving to the University is designated for a specific use, and so gifts to Penn State Funds are uniquely positioned to ensure flexible, seamless support for students, faculty, and programming University-wide. Penn State Funds exist within every college and campus as well as at a University-wide level, and your support will be used within the academic year in which it is given. While spending naturally changes from year to year, funds often go toward emergency student aid, timely research opportunities, student and community programming, and more.
